Chiranjeevi, The First Voter

The Presidential election is slated to happen on July 17th and the counting will be on July 20th.

This time we have two presidential candidates in the contest.

Ramnath Kovind is backed by the ruling NDA government and Meira Kumar is backed by the opposition UPA party.

Elections will be held in an order where Rajya Sabha members first vote followed by Lok Sabha members and then the representatives of State assembly.

There are a total of 4896 votes for the current Presidential elections.

Interestingly, the first and last vote will be from Telugu speaking members.

Konidela Chiranjeevi will be first voter to vote for Presidential candidate as he stands first in the alphabetical order of Rajyasabha member.

The last vote will be Malladi Krishnarao who is the representative from Yanam constituency.
