Deputy Clp Leader T. Jeevan Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has imposed undeclared emergency in Gajwel Assembly constituency of Siddipet district.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy alleged that all democratic rights including freedom of expression have been suspended in Gajwel, the Assembly constituency represented by the Chief Minister. He said no one in Gajwel is allowed to speak against the Chief Minister or his family members. He said even media and elected representatives have been barred to speak about forced land acquisition from poor farmers by the TRS Government in Gajwel.
Stating that KCR was behaving not like a Chief Minister, but a landlord. He said KCR has been turning more arrogant with each passing day and has been suppressing all sections of society.
Referring to the incidents of suicide by two inspectors of Gajwel constituency, Ramakrishna Reddy and Prabhakar Reddy, Jeevan Reddy said the SIs took the extreme step due to the pressure from the activists of ruling TRS. He said only a judicial probe could expose the real reasons that drove two SIs to suicide. He said that the Congress party would approach the Human Rights Commissions, both of the State and Center, if State Government fails to order judicial probe.
Jeevan Reddy also informed that the Congress leaders would be meeting Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to explain him how the TRS Government was functioning in Telangana State in an undemocratic manner. He accused KCR of ruining the dream of real Telangana and said life for the people was better in previous regimes.
