Stating that the Telangana Government was taking lot of measures to promote sheep rearing, fishing and dairy development, Animal Husbandry Minister Talsani Srinivas Yadav stressed on need for more number of qualified veterinary doctors.
Speaking to media persons after launching the Mobile Veterinary Van at the State Secretariat on Saturday, the Minister said that the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has permitted for filling up of the vacancies in all departments. In addition to existing 3.5 lakh employees, the State Government would be appointing one more lakh people on various posts in different departments. He said all vacancies were being filled through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).
The minister informed that in the Animal Husbandry Department, 162 Veterinary Doctors have already been appointed. He said the department would be issuing the notification for the recruitment of 541 qualified Veterinarians and other posts up to Class IV employees, for which notification will be issued on June 2 (Telangana Formation Day). Apart from this, the government has proposed to start Mobile Veterinary Service, which would comprise of one Veterinary doctor, Assistant Veterinary Doctor, Helper and Driver. He said 100 vans have been purchased which would come into operation from the mid of June. One van which has arrived was inaugurated today.
Accusing the opposition parties of inciting students to agitation, Talasani advised students not to resort to any kind of protest as the State Government has already taken up massive recruitment drives.
