MP and TRS leader Gutta Sukendar Reddy said that the Centre’s decision to withdraw high denomination currency notes has severely hit the farmers and poor across the country.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Sukhendar Reddy slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that instead of acting against black money holders, the Modi government was troubling the common people in the name of fighting black money by demonetizing higher denomination notes.

Taking a dig at AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu statement that the Centre had acted on his advice on fighting black money and announced demonetisation, the TRS MP said that if Naidu had advised Modi about banning Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, then he should have also advised the PM about the measures to be taken to deal with the situation arising after demonetization.

Sukhendar Reddy played down Opposition’s criticism at the new residence-cum-camp office of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao saying that the building is not CM’s private property but a government office. He said that the new premises will also be beneficial to the general public and added that the Opposition parties were creating unnecessary fuss over the same.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao early on Thursday morning moved into his posh home amid the chanting of Vedic hymns by priests. The complex has been named Pragathi Bhavan.
