APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy on Thursday said that it was unfortunate on the part of the Prime Minister to justify his Demonetization policy based on the outcome of a survey in which five lakh people participated.
Speaking to media persons, Raghuveera Reddy said that in a country of 130 crore, the PM is justifying a policy based on the views of five lakh people. It is highly shameful for a PM to act in such a manner, he said. The survey is fake and a cover up to hide the government’s failures, he said.
The Congress leader said that crores of people are suffering due to cash crunch and the people are now busying in getting their money exchanged by leaving all other works. He dared the PM to answer people’s queries who are subjected to difficulties with the changing rules of the Centre on the Demonetization policy. Instead of taking measures to assuage people’s suffering the PM is justifying his anti-people policy. He appealed the people to support the Congress call for nation-wide bandh on November 28 to protest the Demonetization policy. He said that the party would not give up the protest until the government withdraws Demonetization policy.
