Chandrababu was aware of demonetization: Botsa

YSR Congress leader Botsa Satyanarayana on Friday came down heavily on the Centre’s move to demonetize the Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes. Speaking to media persons at the party office here, the YSRCP leader said that the Centre’s move had put the farmers, the poor and the middle classes in severe hardships.

The YSRC leader raised suspicion at the Centre’s move saying that many allies of the BJP including the TD chief Chandrababu Naidu and others were aware of the demonetization move and had converted their black money to white well in advance.

Botsa came down heavily on TD chief saying that he had hugely invested his ill-gotten money in various ventures and to purchased lands. He said that Chandrababu Naidu paid Rs 10 lakh per day as the fee to his lawyers representing him in the cash-for-vote case in which Naidu is said to have tried to lure a legislator in TS Assembly to vote for his party in the MLC polls last year.
