The Ysr Congress on Saturday alleged that Union Ministers Arun Jaitely and Venkaiah Naidu were misleading the people of the state by resorting to lies during the foundation laying ceremony of the permanent capital at Amaravati.
Speaking to media persons, YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana said that the statement of the Arun Jaitely that the Centre was granting Rs 2 lakh crore to AP was wrong as it was nothing but based on the 14th Finance Commission’s recommendation. The Centre has given nothing but AP’s due share. AP was entitled to get more funds but the Centre did not give anything more but its share, Botsa remarked. He alleged that the BJP and the TD leaders were misleading the people. He accused the TD chief of mortgaging the interests of the state for his personal benefits.
The YSRCP leader said the states smaller than AP were getting central institutions like central varsities, IITs, IIMs but the same was denied to AP which shows Centre’s apathetic attitude towards AP.
He said that in order to cover up each other’s failures, the BJP and TD leaders were heaping praises at the programme on Thursday.
