Communist stalwart Jyoti Basu no more.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu is no more. This 96 year old Bheeshma’s era in Communist Politics has come to an end.

It was on Janury 1, 2010 that Jyoti Basu was admitted in AMRI Hospital (Saltlake) and was diagnosed to be suffering with moderately severe pneumonia. This veteran Marxist was under intravenous antibiotics, but the condition went onto become critical and it was the total multi organ failure suspected yesterday and the complete collapse has become inevitable today morning at nearly 11.50 AM.

Jyoti Basu served as Chief Minister of West Bengal for 23 years and even vetoed the chances of becoming a Prime Minister. Cinejosh prays for this divine soul to rest in peace.
