Hyderabad, Jan 16: Health Minister Danam Nagender faced bitter experience during his tour of Nalgonda district on Saturday.The Minister’s convoy when it reached Kolanupaka village in Nalgonda district, the Telangana supporters staged a rasta-roko and interrupted the minister’s onward journey. The police were pressed into action following a scuffle between the followers of Danam and the Telangana supporters who were staging the rast-roko.
The Telangana supporters forced the minister out of his vehicle and asked him to spell out his stand on Telangana. In response Danam said that he was in favour of Separate Telangana. The Telangana supporters then demanded that a bill should be introduced in the Parliament seeking statehood for Telangana.After this bitter experience at Kolanapaka village, Danam wanted to cut short his tour and planned to reach Hyderabad via Medchel in Medak district.
As his convoy reached Ganeshpalli village in Jagdevpur mandal of Medak district the convoy was once again interrupted by Telangana supporters. Not satisfied with the ministers response some of the agitated youth stoned his convoy.However, the minister escaped unhurt while the window panes of the vehicles were shattered.With the timely intervention of the police, the minister was able to reach Hyderabad safely.
