Centre committed to help AP: BJP

Former Union Minister and Bjp Leader Daggubati Purandheshwari said the BJP led NDA government is committed to assist Andhra Pradesh and would lend help for the state in all aspects.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, the former minister said that the Centre would soon make announcement on special status to state and a separate railway zone.

The BJP leader said that the Centre was not able to fulfill the promise of special status to the state due to restrictions laid down by the 14th Finance Commission. She said that the Centre, however, has decided to extended financial assistance to AP and for the capital city construction. She said that she expects that a decision in this regard would be soon taken by the Union Finance Ministry.
