Hyderabad, Jan 12: Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Indrasena Reddy on Tuesday criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samiti for threatening to boycott and disrupt screening of the film Adurs starring Jr NTR, which is scheduled for release on Jan 13 for Sankranthi.Talking to reporters here, he said the process for formation of Telangana state, initiated by the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram by calling an all-party convention, would be delayed if the TRS activists resort to pressure tactics.“If TRS activists resort to tactics against film releases produced by Andhra people, definitely the Centre will stall the process for formation of Telangana state” he said.

Meanwhile, the TRS activists on Tuesday vandalised theatres in the city, which were decorated for screening ‘Adurs’ which is due for release on Jan 13.The TRS activists damaged the theatres—Indra and Nagendra in Sarrornagar, following a call given by Telangana Jagruthi Samiti Chief and TRS leader K Chandrasekhara Rao's daughter K Kavitha. She demanded that Tollywood make its stand clear on Telangana issue. They destroyed cut-outs installed in front of the theatre and  stoned theatre.She also called upon distributors and exhibitors in the region to postpone the release of film. She also warned the theatre owners would face dire consequences, those who violate this.
