Attacks on Dalits shameful: Venkaiah

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday tried to downplay the issue of attacks on Dalits by Gau Rakshaks saying that the Gau Rakhsaks were not Hindus and said that taking law into hands was not good.

The Union Minister, however, described the attacks on dalits even after 68 years of freedom was a shameful act.

Venkaiah Naidu hoisted the Tricolour at the BJP office here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the Modi government was working for the all round development of all sectors. He said that the nation was progressing on the path of development. The NDA Government had reviewed various pending projects and cleared record number of projects essential for infra growth, Naidu said. He recalled that the Centre was cooperative with the TS government and was extending all sorts of help to the TS.
