Hailing the High Court verdict scrapping the controversial GO 123, Congress working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the verdict should open the eyes of the TRS Government which was bent on snatching away farmers’ lands for constructing projects that were actually not needed.

Addressing the media persons, the Congress leader lashed out at the State Government saying that its adamant attitude was derailing the development and is creating unnecessary issues to the people. He demanded that the government release White Paper on the land acquired for various projects. He also demanded that the government return the land acquired under the GO 123 immediately.

Bhatti said that all sections of the society, who supported the TRS during the statehood movement for Telangana, are now fed up with the anti-people policies of the State Government. “Advocates who supported TRS are now unhappy with the way it behaved in acquiring lands for the Mallannasagar projects,” Bhatti remarked.
