Launching the survey, the Chief Minister said the historical survey was aimed at learning the personal details of the people. This is a novel programme. It would culminate in the empowerment of the people. The survey would back up all social welfare programmes, Naidu said.

The social and economic inequities could be tabulated. After the survey, plans would be made to bring up the economically weaker sections, the Chief Minister added.
