Rich tributes were paid to YSR on his 67th Birth Anniversary and the mass contact programme Gadapagadapaku YSR began with Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy giving a clarion call to reject people who do not keep their word and go back on the poll promises thus ushering in qualitative polity.
"During the next six months we will reach out to every village and highlight the failure of Chandrababu Naidu in keeping up his poll promises on one hand and the rampant corruption under his stewardship on the other and we will give a questionnaire with 100 points to measure his quality of governance," he said here on Friday.
Jagan said that the quality of polity has been on the slide with Chandrababu Naidu stooping to new low in terms of corruption and he did not fulfill even a single poll promise during his two years in office. The mass contact programme enables people to bring in awareness on the level of political equations and question the politician making tall promises as they wanted a person who cares to keep his word, he said.
"Before elections, he has promised many things including waiver of farm and DWACRA loans, creation of jobs, unemployment stipend, and housing besides others but did not fulfill a single one. Unless such tall talk is checked, the streak of promises will continue and he can stoop to any level and even promise moon," said that YSRCP chief.
The Gadapagadapaku YSR will highlight the failures of Chandrababu Naidu in keeping his poll promises and the scams and corruption in the two-year term, he said adding that all party workers and leaders will reach out to every village distributing the questionnaire to create awareness among the masses. People should come forward to infuse credibility into politics, he said.
"We have also quoted Chandrababu Naidu with dates and how they were not fulfilled. He and other politicians should understand that they are accountable and cannot make empty promises. I will also participate in the programme in my constituency and at other places as well," he said.
