Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao lashed out at the opposition parties accusing them of creating hurdles in the development of Telangana state.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Nageshwar Rao said that irrigation projects were necessary for the development of the state and for the projects land is necessary. When the people are ready to part with their lands for the projects, Opposition is misleading them. He said that the state government was committed to complete the Mallannasagar project as it was in the interests of the state.
The minister also questioned the silence of AP Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu saying that why the latter was silent on the division of High Court and added that it was not in the interests of the two state. The two Telugu states can prosper only with cooperation.
He said that the Mission Kakakitya scheme launched by the State was a model for the rest of the country. The state is spending crores of rupees for these schemes which would change the face of Telangana. The problems faced due to lack of water for irrigation would be solved if these projects are successfully undertaken, the minister added.
