The protestors staged a roadblock on the Hyderabad highway throwing traffic out of gears. Some miscreants pelted stones at an RTC bus damaging the windowpanes of the bus. When the passengers got down the bus, miscreants set it on fire. Police rushed to the spot on the receipt of information and dispersed the crowd.

Meanwhile in Mahbubnagar, former Congress minister D.K. Aruna with her supporters staged a rasta roko at Erravalli cross-roads demanding a separate district for Gadwal.

Alampur MLA Sampath Kumar joined the rasta roko protest. As the police intervened, the followers resisted. The police used lathis and dispersed the crowds. Both D.K Aruna and Sampath Kumar were detained by the police.
