Tummala asks officials to expedite works on MLAs' quarters

Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao on Monday directed the officials to expedite the construction of MLAs' Quarters.

Addressing a review meeting with senior officials, Tummala said that the MLAs' Quarters should be completed by December this year. Further, he said tenders should be called for the construction of MLA's Camp Offices in all 119 Assembly constituencies.

The review meeting was attended by senior officials including R&B Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma and Engineer-in-Chief Bhikshapati. The Minister told officials that negligence and delay by contractors would not be tolerate at any cost. He said all contractors should be made to execute the works as planned and as per schedule.

Tummala informed that Rs. 1703 crore were spent for the construction of 5,407 KM length of roads through 756 works during the financial year 2014-15.
