Komatireddy volte-face

Hyderabad, Jan 7:  Politicians in trouble have always an excuse. Shift the blame on the media. You can always blame the print media for misquoting you for all your atrocious statements. It’s no surprise that Minister for Information Technology, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy  takes such alibis.As reported earlier, the Minister had criticized the Chief Minister and alleged that Rosaiah was acting as Chief Minister of Andhra State and not as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.Annoyed by Komatireddy’s statements, a few Andhra leaders had even demanded that he tender an apology, but the Minister declined to do so and said he would not take back the remarks.

Even as the Congress high command slapped a show-cause notice on him, the Minister stuck to his stand. Moreover, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti  backed the Minister and condemned the Chief Minister for the disciplinary action.The Minister, however, made a turnaround and regretted his earlier statements to the astonishment of his party colleagues. He requested the Chief Minister to excuse him for the remarks and conveniently threw the blame on the media for provoking him to utter such statements.
