Harish Rao meets Dattatraya over Krishna Water Board decision

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao called on Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya at latter's residence on Saturday seeking his help in reversing the decision of Krishna Water Board.

Harish Rao told Dattatraya that the decision of Krishna Water Board was against the interest of Telangana State. The Union Minister assured Harish Rao of his total cooperation and assured that he would speak to Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharathhi. He said effective representation would be made with the Centre over the injustice being done to Telangana in distribution of Krishna River water.

Speaking to media persons later, Harish Rao said that the Krishna Water Board was not authorised to decide the quantum of Krishna Water to be distributed among States. He accused Andhra Pradesh Government of misleading the Centre.
