Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy has strongly criticised the TRS Government while accusing it of forcible land acquisition from farmers for Mallanna Sagar project.

Revanth visited Kukunurpally of Medak district on Wednesday and interacted with the affected farmers. He also spoke to Kishtapur farmers who complained that the State Government was taking away their lands at throw away prices. They alleged that the government was forcibly taking away their lands as per GO 123 by offering a compensation of Rs. 5.83 lakh per acre.

Revanth Reddy assured farmers that the TDP would fight for their cause and would launch massive agitation seeking compensation at market rates. Setting a deadline of 15 days for the State Government to meet the demands of agitating farmers, Revanth Reddy announced he would undertake 48-hours hunger strike.

Revanth Reddy advised TJAC Chairman Kodanda Rreddy, Prof. Haragopal, Vimalakka and other leaders who actively participated in Telangana movement to visit Kishtapur to take stock of the situation.
