Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP National President N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated the demand for conferring prestigious Bharat Ratna Award to TDP founder late Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao.
Addressing the TDP Mahanadu on the second day at Tirupati on Saturday, Naidu said NTR was a messiah for poor and he gave several sacrifices for the Telugu pride. He said NTR had a vision for elimination of poverty and also brought a revolutionary change in the society. Despite entering politics at the age of 60 years, NTR became an ideal for youth.
Naidu announced that the AP Government would construct 115.5 feet statue of NTR in Amravathi, the State's new capital. He said Anna Canteens would also be started to provide subsidised food for the poor.
