Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that the TRS Government was not serious on making best arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan.
Speaking to media persons after participating in the review meeting held at the State Secretariat on Thursday, Bjp MLA G. Kishan Reddy said if the TRS Government was serious on making better arrangements for Ramzan, then Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao himself should have chaired the meeting. He also condemned the absence of several key officials in the crucial meeting.
Another Bjp MLA Chintala Ramchander Reddy condemned State Government for not accepting his demand for payment of Rs. 10,000 to each Imam who recited Holy Quran during the month of holy Ramzan. He said that the State Government pays Rs. 10,000 to each pujari who performs special pooja on auspicious occasions. Therefore, the government should extend the same benefit to all Imams across the State.
