Former Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy has questioned the silence of BJP Government at the Centre over the 'Cash for Vote' scam.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office here on Wednesday, Gandra said that the BJP Government was quick to react against the Congress Government in Uttarakhand. However, it remained a mute spectator over the 'Cash for Vote' scam in Telangana. He asked as to why the Centre failed to initiate any action in this case. Similarly, he also questioned the inaction of TRS Government against the TDP leaders, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, whom it alleged were involved in the scam.
Gandra also slammed the TRS Government for its alleged failure to provide relief to the drought affected people. He said that the entire farming community was left to its fate and the State Government did not even clear dues of promised Rs. 1 lakh loans. He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was in celebration mode while a majority of areas in Telangana were reeling under severe drought.
