Ponguleti condemns Jagan's Jala Deeksha

Deputy CLP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has strongly condemned the three-day Jala Deeksha undertaken by YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against the irrigation projects of Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises on Monday, Ponguleti ridiculed Jagan's contention that Telangana's irrigation projects were illegal. He said several projects in Andhra Pradesh State were not legal and Jagan should also speak about them. He said that the Telangana State was formed primarily on the issues of water, funds and jobs. Therefore, he said there was no question of Telangana State surrendering its due share of water.

Ponguleti said as the then Cheif Minister it was Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who initiated the works on many irrigation projects like Palamuru, Dindi, etc., By holding a protest against those projects, Jagan is trying to prove that his father was wrong. He accused both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Government of creating a war-like situation in both Telugu speaking States.
