Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao has dubbed the Congress party as the "University Of Corruption".
Addressing an election meeting on the last day of campaigning for by-polls for Palair Assembly Constituency in Khammam district on Saturday, KTR said that the Congress leaders have no moral right to speak about irregularities. He said several Congress leaders were presently facing serious charges of corruption and enquiries, including CBI probe, were going on against them. Amid these circumstances, the Congress party had no right to level allegations of corruption against the TRS leaders, he said.
KTR said that the Palair by-polls were not a contest between two candidates, but two parties and ideologies. He said although the Palair seat was held by the Congress party for 11 terms, it took no measures to develop the constituency. However, within two years in power, the TRS Government brought immense development in Palair and other parts of Khammam. He promised that Palair would be turned into a model constituency if TRS wins the by-elections.
The minister said that the Bhakta Ramdas project would be completed on time to increase irrigation potential of Palair and other areas.
