Krishnaiah to launch a new political party for BCs

BC Welfare Association national president and TDP MLA R. Krishnaiah on Wednesday announced that a new political party would be floated to protect the self respect of Backward Classes.

Speaking to media persons in Vijayawada, Krishnaiah said that all existing parties were working to benefit the upper castes and no party was serious in addressing the issues concerning Backward Classes. Therefore, he said that the formation of new political party for BCs has become inevitable.

When asked, Krishnaiah said he would support Pavan Kalyan if he seeks any help and agrees to work along.

Krishnaiah said that the BCs should be given 50% political reservation. He also demanded that the Centre announce a BC Sub-Plan by allocating Rs. 1 lakh crore. He also warned the Andhra Pradesh Government against including Kapus in the BC list.
