The much awaited All Party meet has been started and it’s nearly 3 hours that meeting is in full swing in North block. Home Ministry released the opening statements of Chidambaram to the media.
Chidambaram has mainly appealed to political parties in Andhra Pradesh to help the central government find a solution to the Telangana issue. He also stresses that, consensus is the only solution for Telangana which could be achieved only through consultations in drawing a road map.
Chidambaram also concentrated on the misconceptions surrounding some issues related to two declarations that were made by Home Ministry on behalf of Central Government. He reiterated that, the declarations were not his personnel intentions but were made only after All Party Meet conducted by Chief Minister of state.
Until a final solution is attained on Telangana issue, he requested the people of Andhra Pradesh to maintain peace as consultations are taking place. Chidambaram has never forgotten to point out the fact that, all the state political parties have inserted the subject of Telangana in their manifestos but were deeply divided in their opinions after his first statement.
"I urge each of the political parties represented here to show accommodation and goodwill. Ultimately you must find the answers and you must help the central government find a solution. If we take one step at a time, we will eventually, find a solution. Else other forces are waiting to ridicule Parliamentary form of Democracy," expressed his concerns about possible Maoists threat to state of Andhra Pradesh.
