Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said that Hyderabad was the best destination for Information Technology sector.
Speaking after unveiling of the State's new IT policy at HICC on Monday, the Chief Minister said that the new IT policy would boost the entire IT and related sectors across the Telangana State. He informed that the Telangana's industrial policy was quite successful and so far, 1691 industries have come to the State. Of them, he said 803 industries have commissioned their production. He said that the Telangana Government was moving ahead with the slogan "Single window without grills" to attract investments and many industries have responded positively to the government's initiative.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, who unveiled the IT policy, said that the new IT policy was good and hoped that it would help in taking the technology to the villages.
Addressing the gathering, Nasscom Chairman B.V.R. Mohan Reddy appreciated the Telangana's new IT policy and said that Hyderabad has the best infrastructure to emerge as the best IT destination.
IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the State's new IT policy was quite comprehensive. He said that the State Government has also introduced four sub-policies which include Innovation, Gaming & Animation, Electronic Manufacturing and Rural Technology.
As many as 28 IT companies have signed different MoUs on the occasion.
