Hyderabad, Jan 2: The Christian community from Telangana Region has urged the Centre to involve it for talks on the formation of a separate Telangana state.Expressing concern over the recent attacks on the churches, pastors and Christian officials, in the aftermath of the violent protests launched by Telangana activists, Christian leaders have said they are apprehensive about their security and want a role during the process Telangana state formation.Members of the Global Alliance Christian Leaders told newsmen here on Saturday that the community was being ignored in the consultation process. They said the Centre has convened an all-party meeting for Jan 5 in Delhi and they would be keen to participate
in the talks for constituting a separate statehood for Telangana.The Global Alliance Christian Leaders chairman G David Shant Raj said Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, who has convened the Jan 5 meet, should also invite Christian leaders. "We want to share our views. We want to know what will be the share of Christians in the power, what should be done for their safety," he said.
