Hyderabad, Jan 2: Reacting to the show-cause notice issued by the Congress High Command, Minister for Information and Technology Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said, he will respond to the notice by Sunday.Interacting with the media here on Saturday, the Minister confirmed he received the show-cause notice from the High Command. ‘‘All my statements are in consonance with the feelings of the Telangana people and I did not pass any personal remarks against Chief Minister K Rosaiah,’’ he added.
Some vested interests are distorting my statements to tarnish my name, the minister alleged.``During the integrated Andhra movement, many Congress leaders passed scathing remarks on Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy. Why didn’t the High Command serve any show-cause to them,’’ he shot back.Continuing in the same vein, the minister recalled the instances when the Congress leaders from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema passed unsavoury remarks against Telangana ministers.
But the High Command did not contemplate any action, he alleged.Reasserting his stand on Telangana, the minister said he would not withdraw his resignation from the Cabinet and his stand on Telangana remains unchanged.As reported earlier, the minister was served show-cause notice by the High Command for deliberately lowering the prestige of the party image through his remarks on the Chief Minister. The IT minister was given seven days time to reply.
