Hyderabad, Jan 1: In less than a week after taking over, Governor ESL Narasimhan on Friday conducted a 'Praja Durbar' to hear the problems of the people and public representatives at Raj Bhavan.The Governor, after being greeted by Chief Minister K Rosaiah, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and a host of other ministers to mark the New Year, held the ‘praja darbar’ up to 2 p.m.The security guards allowed people, public representatives and other leaders to attend the ‘praja darbar’ after Chief Minister briefed the Governor of the prevailing situation in the state.
They had a meeting for nearly half-an-hour.The Governor said the durbar would help maintain good relations with the people and help him acquaint with their problems better. He described the Praja Durbar as a forum for linking people with officials. He wanted the officials to make every possible effort to redress the grievances of the people.Later, the Governor received representations from the public and leaders from various sections of society.
