Hyderabad, Dec 31: The Congress party in the state will represent two senior leaders at the Jan 5 conclave to be held in New Delhi to discuss the Telangana issue. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas said the representatives will be picked up after consultations with Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Congress leader in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs M Veerappa Moily.Elaborating on the T-issue, the PCC president said the proposed Jan 5 meeting is a positive signal from the Centre and hoped the Telangana tangle would be resolved at the earliest.
``The ministers from Telangana withdrew their resignations at the behest of the High Command,’’ the PCC chief explained. Lauding the efforts of the Centre in initiating the process on Telangana he commended the swift action of the Centre in spite of the festive season.Referring to the investors who are stepping back or evading Hyderabad in the wake of the recent developments, he said the concept is totally incorrect. This is only a temporary phase. The frayed tempers of agitators will cool down soon and the investors will be back in Hyderabad.When asked to spell out the stand of Congress on the T-issue, he said it will be made known during the Jan 5 conclave.
