Central Home Minister Chidambaram has spoke before the media once again on Telangana issue today after his December 23rd statement. Chidambaram tried to blame all the Andhra Pradesh state political parties for their divided stand based on their own agendas rather than party agenda.
“I don’t understand what was the mistake in our statement that was made on Telangana? After convening an all party meet in the state, we have delivered the message about the process that is to be initiated for the formation of Telangana state. Later, the state was divided on their opinions and it made us to give the second statement about ‘wide range consultations’ before declaration of state.
Now, it will be only the Andhra Pradesh state political parties who need to give solution for the issue rather than Centre. I don’t know what was the mistake that we have done, as Media has started to propagate the news that Centre has gone a step backward on Telangana? No, we have never made any mistake, it is the state political leaders who have to decide on this January 5, Tuesday meet and find out a solution to Telangana.”
