Komatireddy hits out at Rosaiah as 'pro-Andhra'

Hyderabad, Dec 31: Information Technology Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday criticized Chief Minister K Rosaiah for ''acting like a pro-Andhra leader''.Talking to media persons, Reddy charged the Chief Minister with behaving like a pro-Andhra leader and taking decisions unilaterally harming the interests of other regions. He also came down heavily on the Chief Minister for stating that Naxalites were behind the pro-Telangana agitation. He wondered why should the Chief Minister suggest that investments were being withdrawn from Andhra Pradesh due to continuing agitations over the Telangana issue.

“Though IT and cine industry are doing well, the Chief Minister’s comments hurt the Telangana people,” he said. The Chief Minister did not raise the issue when the integrated Andhra Pradesh agitation was taken up in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, he asserted. In fact, the Chief Minister insulted the Telangana leaders by making baseless statements against them and provoked many agitators. He lashed out at the Telugu Desam party leaders for questioning the stand of the Congress party on Telangana. He said the Congress High Command is already favourable to Telangana and Telugu Desam should make its stand clear. He also urged the Chief Minister and Director General of Police to withdraw the police cases filed against Telangana leaders.
