Jaya Sudha meets Naidu, joins TDP

Cine actress and former Congress MLA Jaya Sudha Kapoor on Saturday joined the Telugu Desam Party.

Jaya Sudha called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada today and formally joined the party. Speaking to media persons later, she claimed that it was Naidu who brought international recognition for Hyderabad during TDP regime. She said that she would campaign for the TDP-BJP combine candidates during the GHMC elections.

Jaya Sudha was elected on Congress ticket from Secunderabad Assembly constituency in 2009 elections. However, she distanced herself from the party activities after losing 2014 elections. Although they were rumours that she was joining the ruling TRS, she had denied of leaving Congress. Making a surprise move, she joined the TDP on Saturday.
