TDP to coerce Speaker to accept resignations

Hyderabad,Dec 28: Telangana Sadhana Samiti convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Monday said the Telugu Desam Party would mount pressure on Assembly Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy to immediately accept the resignation of legislators.Reddy informed mediamen that “The Tdp will mount pressure on the Speaker to accept the resignations of Ministers, MLAs and MLCs so that the Centre will come down and start the process on the controversial bifurcation issue”.

He said the Tdp MLAs would meet on Dec 31 to chalk out future course of action on Telangana issue.He said all MPs, MLAs and MLCs would attend the meeting and discuss ways and means to initiate the process of the formation of Telangana state at the earliest. He said the Tdp would convene a party workers' meeting at all the constituencies to mobilise people for the Telangana Vidhyarthi Maha Garjana to be held on Jan 3.The Tdp would hold all rallies and dharnas in a peaceful manner without resorting to violence, he pointed out.He called upon Telangana people to extend their support to the bandh called for Dec 30 by the Joint Action Committee of Osmania University.
