Hyderabad,Dec 28:Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is in favour of a separate Telangana, according to Erraballi Dayakar Rao, a senior leader of TDP here on Monday.In the wake of the latest developments in the state on the Telangana issue, the TDP MLAs belonging to Telangana region met at NTR Trust Bhavan here to discuss the party’s stand.``We reiterate our party’s commitment for Telangana. But we will sort out a special program for our party to realise a separate state," opined Dayakar Rao.
``Despite our reservations over joining the Joint Action Committee due to the presence our main political rival Congress, the TDP in principle agreed to join the JAC for a "common cause," Dayakar Rao explained.Meanwhile some of the TDP MLAs visited the fasting camps in Kakatiya University and assured them of their support. In case, if a favourable statement is not made on Telangana by first week of January then we will also launch an indefinite fast demanding separate statehood for Telangana, the MLAs told the media.
