Hyderabad,Dec 26: The 13 Ministers in the Rosaiah government who submitted their resignations, will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Monday in an attempt to persuade her to announce a definite timeframe for the creation of Telangana state.All these Ministers, hailing from Telangana, had sent in a common resignation letter on Dec 25, to pressurise the Centre on the Telangana issue.According to reliable sources, the Ministers have sought an appointment with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and would meet UPA chairperson’s political secretary Ahmed Patel, Defence Minister A K Antony and other senior AICC leaders and seek a statement on the formation of Telangana state.

Meanwhile main Opposition party in the state, the Telugu Desam Party is coming under increasing pressure by Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs from Telangana region to reconsider its stand and join the Joint Action Committee spearheading the agitation for a separate Telangana state.These Congressmen urged their political opponents to give strength to the JAC for the ‘common cause of a Telangana state’.Senior Congress leader and former home minister K Jana Reddy is playing a pro-active role not only in the demands for a separate state but also in keeping the JAC united.
