Hyderabad, Dec 26: Asserting that dialogue is the only way to solve all problems,Y S Vivekananda Reddy, brother of former chief minister YSR and Kadapa MLC on Saturday said Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had rightly stressed the importance of holding wide-ranging consultations with all-political parties on the issue of a separate Telangana.Talking to media after discussing the prevailing situation in the state with Chief Minister K Rosaiah, he said there is no meaning in the agitation launched by pro-Telangana activists and alleged those who are hungry for power are continuing the agitation with the help of vested interests.
Reddy called upon all pro-Telangana leaders for dialogue to solve the Telangana statehood issue in a peaceful manner. He said he was not against for Telangana demand. He said that Centre had not denied its statement on Telangana but only said the process of forming Telangana state would be delayed for some more time due to agitations.How can the government announce the Telangana state in six days since the issue is pending for 60 years? he questioned.He condemned all forms of violence resorted by some anti-social elements in the name of bifurcation of state.Violence was no solution for any problem, he said appealed to all people to work for establishing peace in the state.He said growth and meaningful development can be achieved with sustaining peace and normalcy.
