Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has stated that the Congress and BJP were fighting for the second position in by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat.
Spekaing to media persons on Saturday, Harish Rao said that both Congress and BJP were targeting the TRS Government to gain mileage in the by-elections. He said that both the parties have no moral right to speak on the farmers' issue. He said despite being in power for 10 years, both in the State and Centre, the Congress did not nothing for farmers. Similarly, the present BJP Government at the Centre neglected the farm sector.
Harish Rao alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government had promised to hike the cotton prices by 50%. However, it increased the minimum support price by just Rs. 50.
He claimed that TRS candidate P. Dayakar would win the Warangal by-elections with a thumping majority and both Congress and BJP were struggling hard to secure second position.
