Hyderabad, Dec 25: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday saw some conspiracy by the ruling Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which is spearheading the movement for statehood for Telangana, to finish his party (TDP) in the State.Coming out of the shell before the media after almost a month, the TDP supremo has only decided to dismiss the contentious Telangana issue only in two sentences, that too only when the media men brought the matter to his attention at the end of the press conference. “It is a sensitive issue and the Centre has made it complicated.

Now it is for the Centre to solve the matter amicably,” he said and left the media conference.Earlier, Mr Chandrababu Naidu squarely blamed the TRS for the Thursday’s attack on senior party leader and former minister, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, on the Osmania University campus when he (Dr Reddy) visited the campus to express solidarity with the agitating students. “The deliberate attack was premeditated and was designed with the connivance of the leaders of the ruling Congress,” he said. The Congress and the TRS together are seeing a threat in the TDP, he said adding both the parties are “out to finish the TDP in the State”.

“Both the parties will be greatly disappointed as their efforts would be finally proved futile,” he felt. Mr Naidu said his party has quite a lot of public support and thus no political party can or will dare to make such efforts.Terming the TRS as a party without any cadre, Mr Naidu, warned the TRS leaders of serious consequences if any attempt was made to damage the properties owned by his leaders either in Hyderabad or in other parts of Telangana. “Ours is a cadre-based party. If necessary, we will sensitize our cadre in various parts of the Telangana region and other areas of the State to act if any damage is done to the properties owned by the TDP leaders,” he said.
