Police case filed against KCR

Nandigama (Krishna dist), Dec 25: The Nandigama police on Friday registered an offence under section 153 A and 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao for his offensive remarks against persons favouring a united Andhra Pradesh agitation.

Section 153 A of the IPC pertains to promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony. Section 504 of IPC deals with insult intended to provoke breach of peace.The police will initiate criminal proceedings against the leader for his alleged inflammatory remarks.
