Bullet firing in Osmania University

The situation in Osmania University is almost equivalent to that of an Emergency declaration in Telangana. Osmaina Students Joint Action Committee has given a call for “Fast-Unto-Deaths” again from tomorrow that will be held with in the Osmania campus, as their gesture against the statement of Chidambaram and the necessity of formation of Telangana.

As per the news from various media reports, students from various Telangana Universities have planned for a meeting near the Arts College for formulation of policy that is to be implemented from tomorrow. Police, after getting this information has called for strong application of Section 144 in the campus, which made students go awry over the police and pelted stones raising the slogans like “Go Back Police” and “Jai Telangana”.

As, the situation went out of control Police have fired rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the students from Arts college campus.

Even then situation still seems to be alarming and political parties of Telangana have got the information that 40,000 Para Military forces were on their way to Osmania University.
