The indefinite hunger strike launched by Ysr Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy seeking Special Status for Andhra Pradesh entered the third day on Friday.

Jagan has launhced his indefinite fast at Nallapadu village in Guntur district on October 7. Senior party leaders and activists are also participating in the indefinite hunger strike. Speaking on the occasion, Jagan reminded that Special Status for AP was promised at the time of bifurcation under the AP Reorganisation Act. He vowed to continue the fast till the Centre grants special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu exert pressure on the Centre to get Special Status for the State. Else, he said TDP should pull off from the NDA Government at the Centre.
