Quitting TDP a historical mistake: Devender Goud

  Admitting that he had committed a historical mistake by quitting the Telugu Desam Party (Tdp) at a critical juncture during his political career, the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) senior leader T Devender Goud on Monday said that the Tdp is like his mother and he would work for strengthening it till his last breath.

Talking to media persons after convening a meeting of his followers, Devender Goud, who has been sulking since his defeat in the general elections is all set to re-join Tdp, alleged that the Congress party had conspired to eradicate Opposition parties by evolving a strategy to win assembly elections in 2014.

He called upon all Opposition party leaders to unitedly fight against Congress party’s game plan. He told the leaders to strengthen the Opposition so as to keep a check on the misdeeds of the Congress and to make constructive moves for the proper functioning of the Government.

He alleged that the Congress is acting like a dictator in the State and Country since Independence. Only after the formation of Tdp there was some democracy in the State. However, Goud has not announced his future plans like when he is joining the Tdp and kept the media guessing.

He thanked the PRP leader K Chiranjeevi for giving him a responsible position in the party.
