Hyderabad,Dec 21: The Centre was yet to take a final decision on the bifurcation of the state, Chief Minister K Rosaiah said on Monday indicating that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has only recently returned from a foreign tour, it would take some more time for a decision to come forth.Flanked by Home Minister Sabita Indira Reddy and Director General of Police Girish Kumar, Rosaiah said the Prime Minister has several pressing matters to look into immediately along with the Telangana issue.The Centre was keenly observing the political turmoil in the state and will arrive at a decision soon.
Rosaiah said although pro-integrated Andhra leaders Lagadapati Rajagopal, Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao and Y S Vivekananda Reddy had requested the government to shift them to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, the government was reluctant to do so since necessary health care facilities were available in Vijayawada also.Commenting on media persons' questions on Rajagopal’s health, the Chief Minister said his condition can be gauged by the fact that the MP was able to run into the NIMS building.He added that health bulletins would be released to the media if deemed necessary.
