Andhra Pradesh Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Saturday asked Ysr Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy not to politicise the issue of removal of photograph of former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy from the Assembly premises.
Yanamala said traditionally photographs of former Speakers, and not former Chief Ministers, are placed in the Assembly premises. Therefore, he said keeping YSR's photo in the Assembly premises was against the rules. However, he said that the issue comes under the purview of Assembly Speaker.
Yanamala issued this clarification in response to a letter written by Jagan to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao requesting them to keep photo of late YSR in the Assembly lobby.
