Sandra gets bail in 'Cash for Vote' case

The Special Court for ACB Cases on Tuesday granted bail to Sattupally TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah in the 'Cash for Vote' case.

Veeraiah, who was arrested by the ACB on July 6, was named as accused No. 5 in the 'Cash for Vote' case wherein TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and others have been accused of trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in favour of TDP candidate in MLC elections. The ACB has also questioned Sandra during police custody for two days on 9th and 10th July.

The court granted bail to Sandra on a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh. He was also asked to surrender his passport and was also directed to confine himself within his constituency of Sattupally in Khammam district.
