Vijayawada,Dec 15:Burying their political rivalries,the Congress joint action committee (JAC) members led by former minister Mandali Buddha Prasad on Tuesday called on the Telugu Desam leaders who are on an indefinite fast.It was a welcome relief for the followers of both the Congress and Telugu Desam as their leaders burying their hatchet have expressed solidarity with the political opponents who are on stir a for united Andhra.Devineni Uma of TDP and Devineni Rajasekhar of Congress,both cousins who accuse each other at the drop of a hat have decided to take the fight together for a united Andhra to its logical end.

The JAC leaders comprising Buddha Prasad, Devineni Rajasekhar and MLC Chigurupati Varaparasd organised a rasta-roko on National Highway No. 5 for one-and-a -half hours disrupting traffic. However, the JAC leaders decided to exempt high schools from the bandh purview. It has also been decided to intensify the agitation till the Centre comes out with a favourable proposal on united Andhra.Meanwhile, the police are planing to shift fasting Telugu Desam leaders Devineni Uma, China Ramakotaiah, Bonda Umammaheswara Rao and Panchumarathi Anuradha to the hospital as their health condition is detiorating on the fifth day of fast on Tuesday.
